Paris Saint-Germain got the first touch of the ball in the 2025 Champions League final against Internazionale in Munich, Germany, on Saturday evening, and it left TNT Sports commentators Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist more than a little confused. Luis Enrique's side repeated a kick-off that might have given the French club a slight advantage early in the game.

Ally McCoist and Darren Fletcher were left nonplussed by Paris Saint-Germain’s "bizarre" kick-off in the UEFA Champions League final against Internazionale.
The final is one of the most nerve-wracking experiences for teams in Europe, with UEFA’s most prestigious tournament coming to a head to crown the best side on the continent.
On Saturday night in Munich, Inter were preparing to take on PSG, and the occasion appeared to be getting to the Italian side’s striker Lautaro Martinez, who had his head buried in his shirt.
Attention then switched to PSG as they prepared to take the first touch from the centre circle, and when the whistle went, the French team’s Vitinha pinged the ball straight out of play in Inter's half.
Speaking on commentary for TNT Sports and discovery+, Fletcher said: "The 2025 Champions League final is underway, in pretty bizarre fashion, with that kick-off from Paris Saint-Germain.
"What about the kick, off, Coisty?"

McCoist was in agreement, adding: "Bizarre, we'll just call it bizarre. Very strange."
While the kick-off appeared to be an error from the French side, some fans noted that Luis Enrique has employed the same tactic before in order to press the opposition close to their opponents' goal.
