Marcus Rashford to miss crucial Champions League clash against Galatasaray, eligible to face Bayern Munich

Marcus Rashford will only miss one Manchester United UEFA Champions League fixture following his sending-off in the 4-3 loss to FC Copenhagen last time out. It is a saving grace for Erik ten Hag, who could have been without Rashford for the visit of Bayern Munich, as well as the trip to Galatasaray that he is banned for. However, UEFA determined that a one-match suspension was sufficient.

Marcus Rashford will serve a one-match UEFA Champions League suspension after his sending-off in Manchester United’s loss to FC Copenhagen.
The 26-year-old is set to miss the fixture at Galatasaray next Wednesday, but will be eligible to feature in United's final match against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on December 12.
Rashford’s punishment is not as severe as first feared, with UEFA deciding not to enforce a further one-match ban for his tackle on Elias Jelert in the dramatic 4-3 defeat to FC Copenhagen.
The Red Devils were 2-0 up and seemingly cruising to victory at the time of Rashford's exit, with Rasmus Hojlund's brace separating the two sides.
Mohamed Elyounoussi's strike and a Diogo Goncalves penalty then wiped out the lead before half-time.
Bruno Fernandes put United back in front from the spot after the break, before strikes from Lukas Lerager and Roony Bardghji sealed a memorable win for the Danes.

United now face a make-or-break match in Istanbul after amassing only three points from their four Champions League fixtures to date, leaving Erik ten Hag’s side bottom of Group A.
Another defeat would end their hopes of progression into the last 16, meaning the outcome of the Bayern match could be academic.
Ten Hag’s immediate focus is on a Premier League trip to Everton on Sunday, with The Toffees still reeling from their 10-point deduction.
The United manager will be without Casemiro, Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia for the trip to Merseyside.
But Ten Hag has been boosted by Luke Shaw's return, and the news that Andre Onana is fit to feature despite picking up a knock while on international duty with Cameroon.
United travel to Goodison Park aiming to secure a third consecutive Premier League victory, after 1-0 wins over Luton and Fulham in their last two matches respectively.
Those results have helped move United up to sixth in the table with 21 points from 12 games played.
