Atletico Madrid dominated Borussia Dortmund to win 2-0 in their Champions League Group A match on Tuesday, exacting some revenge for last month's heavy loss in Germany and snapping their opponents' unbeaten run this season.

Saul Niguez fired the hosts ahead in the 33rd minute and Antoine Griezmann added another in the 80th in a one-sided match that ended Dortmund's 15-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
The result lifted Atletico to nine points, level with leaders Dortmund, with two games left in the group stage.
Belgium's Club Bruges are third on four points after beating AS Monaco 4-0 earlier on Tuesday with the top two advancing to the knockout stage.
Guido Burgstaller took Schalke to the verge of the Champions League knockout stages on Tuesday, scoring a smart opener and creating the second as the Germans effectively ended Galatasaray's hopes of progressing from Group D with a 2-0 win.

Burgstaller put the Germans ahead after four minutes when he scored from a narrow angle after capitalising on keeper Fernando Muslera's error as he raced out of his goal.
Garry Rodrigues missed a chance to equalise midway through the first half when he skewed a half-volley wide, but the home side took control and might have extended their lead before halftime, with Sebastian Rudy hitting the post and Muslera atoning for his earlier error with a smart save from the omni-present Burgstaller.
But Mark Uth sealed victory for the Germans in the 57th minute, expertly converting Burgstaller's cut-back as Schalke moved to within two points of qualifying for the knockout stages.
They remain second in Group D, two points behind FC Porto, and will qualify if they get two more points from their final two group games.
Galatasaray, on four points but without an away win in the Champions League since 2013, are no longer in control of their destiny.
Porto all but guaranteed themselves a place in the knockout stage of the Champions League on Tuesday with a 4-1 win over Lokomotiv Moscow, who have yet to register a point in the competition.
Porto's Hector Herrera put the home side ahead in the second minute after some neat footwork from Moussa Marega. The Malian striker skipped around the Lokomotiv defence and darted to the touchline before cutting the ball back to his captain, who tapped in from close range.
Herrera then turned provider just before halftime, chipping the ball over Lokomotiv's defenders and into the path of Marega, who charged into the box and thumped his shot low between the legs of Guilherme, Russia's Brazilian-born national keeper.
Substitute Jefferson Farfan pulled one back for the Railwaymen on the hour mark, heading in powerfully from a corner, only for Jesus Corona to re-establish Porto's two-goal lead, collecting the ball in the box, cutting back onto his left foot and shooting past the outstretched Guilherme.
Porto substitute Otavio then finished the game in style, curling home a shot from the edge of the area.
The result means Porto sit top of Group D with 10 points, while Lokomotiv are out of the competition on zero points after four games. Germany's Schalke 04 are in second place on eight points, while Turkey's Galatasaray are third on four.
