Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane is scoring at a rate of more than a goal a game for Bayern Munich this season. Speaking to TNT Sports, his former England team-mate Wayne Rooney is not surprised that the ex-Spurs man has continued to find the back of the net, while Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and Joleon Lescott also discussed who will start next to Kane on the left of their front three at the Euros.

Wayne Rooney said he did not “expect anything less” than for “ultimate professional” Harry Kane to excel at Bayern Munich.
The former Tottenham player has 36 goals in 34 appearances for the current Bundesliga champions this term but while his own individual stint in Germany has been exceptional, Kane's new club are looking unlikely to win the league for the first time in more than a decade.
Last week, Bayern knocked out Lazio to move into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, but with boss Thomas Tuchel leaving the club in the summer, there is no guarantee they will taste glory this season as they struggle to match the form set by Xabi Alonso's remarkable Bayer Leverkusen.
Speaking on TNT Sports, Wayne Rooney was full of praise for his former international team-mate Kane.
He said: “I didn’t expect anything less. I think he’s incredible. The goals he scores, the chances he creates. He’s the ultimate professional. I didn't really expect anything less going over to Germany.
"What you didn’t take into account was that Bayern Munich might potentially not win a trophy, which I think would be crazy for Harry’s first season. Wherever he plays, he’ll score goals.”

Asked by Rio Ferdinand whether he would pick Erling Haaland ahead of Kane, he answered: “Haaland because of his age, but if they were both the same age it would be the flip of a coin.”
Joleon Lescott then suggested he pick between himself and Kane, and he was quicker to dismiss Kane, explaining: “I think I was a little bit different so I’d pick myself.”
Rashford to start at Euro 2024?
The trio also discussed the qualities that United forward Marcus Rashford could offer, after a goalscoring display against Everton on Saturday.
Presented with the chance to pick their left-sided forward for England’s Euro 2024 line-up, each of them plumped for the 26-year-old and thought he was better suited to the national side than his club.
While Rashford scored 30 goals last season under Erik ten Hag, he has failed to crack double figures in the current season, but Ferdinand has seen an uptick in form recently.
He explained: “Right now I’d go Marcus Rashford. He’s got two goals, his last couple of games. He looks like he’s coming into the home straight and the confidence will be in the best place by the end of the season.
“He gives something different, he runs behind. Saka prefers it to feet, so does Harry Kane. He'll give you that little point of difference.”

Lescott added: “I think [the England] Marcus Rashford is the version of Marcus Rashford United want to see. I think he plays with a smile on his face, the freedom and he doesn’t feel the pressure or the weight. He seems like a more enjoyable performance and player when he's playing for England in my opinion.”
Rooney agreed with the choice but said Jack Grealish and others shows England’s strength in depth.
“I think that’s where England are blessed, the attacking players they've got,” he claimed. “You haven’t even mentioned Grealish yet. I probably would go with Marcus because he’s a threat and he seems to play a lot different for England.
“Playing for England suits him a little bit more than it does for Manchester United. I think he’s a player who can really hurt teams.”
