Manchester United target Leon Bailey set to join Bayer Leverkusen

Leon Bailey is set to join Bayer Leverkusen from Genk as he undergoes a medical in Germany.

19-year-old winger Bailey had been touted for a move to United, Arsenal and Hull City in this window from Belgium club Genk, but it appears he is destined to continue his career in the Bundesliga.

"Leon Bailey is currently undergoing a medical," said the Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt at a media conference on Friday.

"That means it is very much likely he will join us."

Bailey has risen to prominence in the Europa League, netting seven goals in 12 matches to help his team reach the knockout stage.

The fee is apparently around 15m Euros with Genk slapping the price tag on the player's head amid reported interest from the Premier League.
