Chelsea won the Women's Super League title for a sixth consecutive season after a 1-0 victory over Manchester United.
The Blues only needed to better Arsenal's result on Wednesday night, and The Gunners fell to a shock 5-2 loss against Aston Villa in the earlier kick-off.
That opened the door for Sonia Bompastor's unbeaten side, who knew any result against third-placed United would confirm another title.
Lucy Bronze's second-half goal put Chelsea in front and proved decisive, taking them nine points clear of Arsenal with just two games left to play.
"We knew that a draw was good enough," match-winner Bronze told Sky Sports amid the celebrations. "We wanted to stay unbeaten. Before the game we also wanted to keep a clean sheet.
"It is nice to have got the goal and the win as well. It makes it feel a lot better to celebrate being champions when you win a game.
"The fortunate thing for us this season is that we have stayed unbeaten so we knew there were still two things to play for. We knew Arsenal had got beat and we knew what we needed, but we wanted to win.
"Although we have won the league tonight, we have two games left and we want to win those too. We want to be unbeaten for the whole season."
The scene had been set by Villa, who produced a remarkable performance to inflict a heavy defeat on an unsuspecting Arsenal side.
With Chelsea already heavy favourites to retain the title, nothing less than a victory was required for Renee Slegers' side.
But it proved to be a disastrous evening in Birmingham, where Villa defied the league standings and ran out deserved winners.

The hosts were 2-0 up at the break thanks to goals from Jordan Nobbs and Kirsty Hanson, and it was 3-0 just after the interval when Chasity Grant struck.
As Arsenal chased the game out of necessity, Rachel Daly made it four just before the hour-mark to effectively put Villa out of sight.
Quickfire goals from Stina Blackstenius and Alessia Russo halved the deficit, but Grant got her second and Villa's fifth after 73 minutes to inflict a fatal defeat on Arsenal.
Then it was over to Chelsea, who edged an end-to-end game that could have gone either way with chances for both sides.
But the champions showed impressive resilience again, and Bronze proved the hero with 74 minutes on the clock. Her well-directed header evaded United goalkeeper Phallon Tullis-Joyce and sparked jubilant celebrations amongst the players in blue and the travelling contingent of away fans.
Chelsea remain in contention for a domestic treble, having already won the League Cup and with an FA Cup final against United next month.
