“FC Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ousmane Dembélé for €105 million plus add-ons,” read a statement on Barcelona’s website.
The player will sign a five-year contract and his buy out-clause is set at 400 million euros.
France international Dembele scored 10 goals and provided 20 assists in all competitions to help Dortmund finish third in the Bundesliga last season. The team also won the German Cup.
The add-ons are thought to be in the region of €35 million.
The deal - including add-ons - makes the 20-year-old the second most expensive player in history after Neymar. He also becomes the priciest player in La Liga, his fee outstripping the 100 million euros Real Madrid paid for Gareth Bale in 2013.
"Dembele will arrive in Barcelona on Sunday and he will undergo a medical on Monday morning local time," added the statement.
"Shortly, more details of the running order of the player’s presentation on Monday will be available."
Barcelona are also targeting Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho as they look to replace Neymar, who joined Paris St Germain for €222 million.
Dembele, 20, only moved to Dortmund last summer from Rennes for €15 million, and the Ligue 1 club are due €20 million due to a sell-on clause in that deal.

HOW WILL BARCELONA LINE UP?

While not a like-for-like replacement, Dembele will slot into the left side of Barcelona’s front three – the spot previously occupied by Neymar.

However, the spending might not stop there. The Catalan club are said to still harbour hopes that they can prise Philippe Coutinho away from Liverpool with another bid north of €100m.
The diminutive Brazilian would more than likely represent a reinforcement in midfield, putting pressure on not only Ivan Rakitic but also Andres Iniesta.
