Japan to play Angola
ByReuters
Japan will play fellow World Cup qualifiers Angola in a rearranged home friendly next month after dropping Ivory Coast and then Togo, the Japan Football Association (JFA) said on Thursday.
The Asian champions were initially set to play Ivory Coast in the Nov. 16 game in Tokyo but opted for Togo instead as Ivory
Coast could not bring a full-strength squad.
Just three days after making the switch JFA officials opted for Angola ahead of Togo.
The three African sides will be making their first World Cup
finals appearance in Germany next year.
