Negotiations over a new deal for Ander Herrera have hit a roadblock despite the midfielder still having 19 months left to run on his existing contract.
So far, Herrera is thought to be dismayed with the way United have dragged their feet over extending his terms.
The Spaniard has enjoyed a revival since Solskjaer succeeded Jose Mourinho last December before putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.
Solskjaer has made Herrera a permanent fixture in his starting XI and the move has worked to good effect, with Herrera being more involved in United’s attack, scoring two goals and laying on two assists.
But now according to the Daily Record, Herrera has already agreed a pre-contract with PSG following United’s failed attempts so far.
Herrera, it is believed, is angling for a ÂŁ150,000 a week which is nearly double his current ÂŁ80,000-a-week contract.
The Daily Mail, meanwhile, claim Arsenal could lodge an interest in Herrera and with no transfer fee involved, they would be able to offer favourable terms.
Solskjaer has made it clear he wants Herrera to stay, as he said: “Let's hope club and player find an agreement.
"Ander has been very good since I came in.
“We will have a strong squad next season and we want the best players."
United are also looking to tie up new deals for David de Gea and Marcus Rashford are thought to be progressing well.
However, like Herrera, Juan Mata's future remains shrouded in doubt.
Solskjaer will be hoping to build on United’s win last weekend against Watford when they travel to face Wolves tomorrow (8pm).
