Alex Mowatt banned for three games after Leeds appeal is unsuccessful

Leeds midfielder Alex Mowatt will miss three games after the Sky Bet Championship club failed in their appeal against his dismissal in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Birmingham.
Mowatt was a second-half substitute at St Andrew's but was shown a straight red card in the closing moments of stoppage time, following a challenge on Birmingham's Ryan Shotton.
Leeds appealed against the ban but that was deemed unsuccessful by a Football Association Independent Regulatory Commission.
The 21-year-old will miss the games against Reading, Wolves and Hull.
