Shibutani siblings secure Four Continents gold

Americans Maia Shibutani and Alex Shibutani are celebrating their first ISU Championship title after securing ice dance gold at the Four Continents Figure Skating Championships in Taipei.

The brother-and-sister team scored a new free dance personal best of108.76 points to finish with a total of 181.62 points to take home the gold medal.
Compatriots Madison Chock and Evan Bates also recorded a free dance personal best of 107.59, as the world silver medallists finished runners-up with a score of 174.64.
And completing the podium with bronze were Canadians Kaitlyn Weaver and Andrew Poje as the defending champions finished with a score of 173.85.
Friday also saw the men's event get underway and leading after the short program is 2015 world junior silver medallist Boyang Jin of China.
Jin scored 98.45 points and is 5.46 ahead of second-placed Shoma Uno of Japan, while Han Yan of China is third on 89.57.
