Jonas Vingegaard claims La Vuelta 2025 crown as protests see final stage in Madrid abandoned without podium ceremony
Jonas Vingegaard has officially won his first La Vuelta crown after the final stage in Madrid was curtailed due to protests. The Dane has now claimed the third Grand Tour title of his career after finishing second in the general classification in 2023. Race organisers explained that "security reasons" dictated that Stage 21 had to be abandoned, with no podium ceremony taking place in Madrid.
