The latest of the 'Cobbled Classics' is upon us with the Tour of Flanders back for 2025.
Nicknamed 'Flanders' Finest', the Flemish one-day race is a highlight of the Belgian cycling calendar, with both the Men's and Women's Elite races taking place on the same day.
Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) triumphed in 2024 in the Men's Elite race with Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl–Trek) winning the Women's Elite.

This year’s edition of the Tour of Flanders takes place on Sunday, April 6.
What is the Tour of Flanders route?
The Men's Elite race will begin in Brugge this year, as it continues to alternate yearly with Antwerp as a starting point.
Stretching 268.9km, the peloton will navigate the Belgian cobbles, finishing in Oudenaarde. Â
The Women's Elite race will begin and end in Oudenaarde, covering 168.8km.

Who is riding the Tour of Flanders 2025?
Defending champion and three-time winner Mathieu van der Poel (Alpecin–Deceuninck) is looking to hold on to his title but will have his work cut out with 2023 champion Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) hot on his wheel.
Wout van Aert (Visma–Lease a Bike) is also taking part with his eye on the prize, while Mads Pedersen (Lidl–Trek), Matteo Jorgenson (Visma–Lease a Bike), Julian Alaphilippe (Tudor Pro) and Biniam Girmay (Intermarche–Wanty) will also be in the mix.
The Women's Elite race will see Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx–Protime), Puck Pieterse (Fenix–Deceuninck), Marianne Vos (Visma–Lease a Bike), Lorena Wiebes (SD Worx–Protime) and defending champion Elisa Longo Borghini (Lidl–Trek) in action.
