Tom Pidcock will race for Q36.5 from next season following his departure from INEOS Grenadiers. The 25-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the Swiss-based outfit just days after it was announced he would be leaving INEOS. Tom Pidcock has joined Q36.5 after leaving INEOS Grenadiers, the two-time Olympic gold medalist confirmed on Friday.
The 25-year-old has announced he will join the Swiss team on a three-year deal, just days after his departure from INEOS was announced.
"This isn’t just a change of jersey; it’s the start of something special," Pidcock said in a team statement. "The chance to work with a team that’s growing, with incredible partners and brands, is something that motivates me. I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together."
He added: "I love racing my bike, and I’m looking forward to making that a priority. Joining a team that believes in me and shares my vision of success makes this an incredibly important step in my career. Let’s make it happen."
Pidcock's success on the road has not been quite as common as his cross-country and cyclo-cross ventures, though the 23-year-old did secure a stunning victory at the 2023 Strade Bianche.
The Team GB star claimed victory at this year's Amstel Gold Race, while he also triumphed at the Alpe d’Huez stage in the 2022 Tour de France.
The former INEOS rider spectacularly defended his Olympic title in Paris earlier this year, pulling off a remarkable final-lap overtake despite suffering a puncture mid-race.
Pidcock won the U23 Giro d'Italia in 2020, while also claiming UCI MTB World Championship victory in the same year.
Q36.5 team boss Doug Ryder was full of praise for the new recruit, hailing his "extraordinary talent".

The Swiss team confirmed that Pidcock will join the pre-season training camp in January, which is due to take place in Calpe, Spain.
Pidcock joined INEOS in February 2021 on a contract running until 2027, but reached a mutual agreement to terminate the deal early as speculation arose about the Brit's move to Q.36.5.
