Tadej Pogacar has penned a new contract with UAE Team Emirates, tying him to the team until 2030.
Pogacar produced one of the greatest - if not the greatest - cycling seasons on record in 2024, winning the Giro d'Italia-Tour de France double before claiming a maiden rainbow jersey at the UCI Road World Championships in Zurich.
"I am extremely proud to be extending my time here at UAE Team Emirates," said Pogacar in a statement.
"This team has been my home now the last five years and I truly can’t imagine myself anywhere else.
"The best moments of my career have come at UAE Team Emirates and that is a testament to all of the staff, management, teammates, and partners who all allow me to perform at the highest level.
"I’m really excited for the future. This team gives me the best chance at fighting for wins and that is exactly what I aim to do."

Pogacar's Giro-Tour-Worlds treble was only the third 'Triple Crown' in the history of men's cycling, following Eddy Merckx in 1974 and Stephen Roche in 1987.
Meanwhile, he equalled Fausto Coppi's record of four straight wins at Il Lombardia earlier in October, taking him to 25 wins for the season.
He needs victories at Milano-Sanremo and Paris-Roubaix, a race he is yet to attempt, to complete his Monument set.
"It’s an incredible feeling to be able to announce this contract extension for Tadej Pogacar, the leader of our team and the best cyclist in the world," said UAE team principal Mauro Gianetti.
"Tadej joined the team as an ambitious 20-year-old, and we have watched him blossom into a Giro d’Italia, Tour de France, and world champion this season.
"His talent is clear for all to see, but he is also one of the hardest working and dedicated cyclists in the peloton. Tadej deserves all of his success and I’m delighted he is staying with us for many years to come.”
Pogacar is expected to resume his rivalry with Jonas Vingegaard (Visma-Lease a Bike) at the Tour next season, with the pair sharing the last five yellow jerseys between them.
Rumours are also circulating that he will appear at the Vuelta a Espana next year as he bids to complete his Grand Tour collection. He finished third at the Vuelta in 2019.
