The Paris Olympics has showcased the world's best athletes in some of the most spectacular settings, and that was especially the case in the cycling events. Montmartre provided the backdrop for the finish of the men's and women's road races, while the time trials passed through the Vélodrome Jacques Anquetil and ended on the Pont Alexandre III. Here are the winners of all of the medals.

The road cycling events at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games thrilled fans, with the likes of Tom Pidcock and Demi Vollering among those who competed for the cherished gold medals.
The Olympics came at a busy time in the cycling calendar, with the Tour de France culminating just five days before the Games began, and the Tour de France Femmes starting straight after.
Wout van Aert and Remco Evenepoel were named in both races for a strong Belgium men's roster, while Pidcock competed for Great Britain in the road race.
On the women's side, the Netherlands team for the road was stacked with a star cast of Vollering, Ellen van Dijk, Marianne Vos and Lorena Wiebes.

Who medalled in the paris 2024 cycling events?

Belgium stole the show at road cycling of the 2024 Olympic Games, with the nation taking home four of the 12 medals available across the men's and women's events.
Evenepoel led the way for Belgium, taking the gold medal in both the men's indvidual time trial and the road race.
Behind him in the time trial was Italy's Filippo Ganna and Evenepoel's team-mate van Aert whereas in the road race, it was French pair Valentin Madouas and Christophe Laporte who took the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Having won the gold medal in the men's cross country mountrain biking, some had hoped that Pidcock could compete in the road race, but he finished in 13th.

But, Team GB did take home one medal from the road cycling, as Anna Henderson took home the silver in the women's indvidual time trial.
Australia's Grace Brown took the gold medal in the event, with American Chloe Dygert fininshing in the bronze medal position.
Kristen Faulkner claimed the gold medal in the women's road race, ahead of Dutch cyclist Vos and Belgium's Lotte Kopecky.

did Tadej Pogacar compete in Paris?

Ahead of the Games, the Slovenian Olympic Committee confirmed that Tour de France champion Tadej Pogacar would not compete in Paris this summer.
Pogacar's loss was Domen Novak's gain, with the Slovenian rider included in the squad in his place.
A statement from the Slovenian Olympic Committee stated that Pogacar's omission was due to fatigue following his triumphs in the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia.
“The national coach of the men’s cycling team revealed the names of the riders who will compete in this year’s Olympic Games in Paris," said the statement.
“He [Pogacar] will be replaced by his national team colleague Domen Novak.
“We congratulate the winner of the race across France for another victory in the most prestigious cycling race in the world, and we hope that he will represent the colours of Slovenia at the Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.”
