Julian Alaphilippe makes 'biggest change' in joining Tudor Pro Cycling from Soudal Quick-Step for 2025 season

French rider Julian Alaphilippe will join Tudor Pro Racing after leaving the Soudal Quick-Step team at the end of the 2024, the team has confirmed. The two-time world champion and multiple-time stage winner in the Tour de France will ride for another team for the first time in his career after the move, stating: "What better way to mark a turning point in my career?"

Two-time world champion Julian Alaphilippe will join Tudor Pro Cycling Team for the 2025 season, the team announced on Monday.
The 32-year-old will end a decade-long stay with Soudal Quick-Step that saw the 32-year-old win two world titles and six Tour de France stage wins.
Alaphilippe produced a sensational ride in stage 12 of the 2024 Giro D'Italia, leading a vintage solo attack to complete a sweep of Grand Tour wins.
“After more than ten years with the same team, it was time for a change,” Alaphilippe said in a statement on Monday.Â
“I liked the Tudor Pro Cycling project from the beginning. I saw the team arrive and develop, and I also know a few of the riders and staff members. What better way to mark a turning point in my career than with a new and ambitious project?”Â
The move marks the first time in Alaphillipe's career he will be racing for a team other than Soudal Quick-Step.

He added: "It is the biggest change since the start of my career. It is the first time I will be riding in another team, and I think it's good to have a change of scenery after so many years.
"The team makes me want to be part of it. I want to play my part as a leader, to guide the youngsters, even though I'm not very old yet.
"I've got a lot of experience and that can be important for the young people in the team. It's a great motivation to bring what I know and my way of being on and off the bike. It really motivates me to win races and develop at the highest level, both personally and with the team.”Â

Soudal Quick-Step wasted no time in filling the gap in their roster, announcing Britain's Ethan Hayter's arrival ahead of the 2025 season.
