Who is riding Il Lombardia?

Headlining Il Lombardia is Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates).
Pogacar has won the last three editions of the race and is aiming to become just the second man after Fausto Coppi to win four in a row.
The newly crowned world champion comes into Il Lombardia on the back of victory at Giro dell'Emilia.
“The shape is still very good and I want to give it one last push now for Lombardia,” he said.
“It’s been the perfect season for us this year. The team worked really hard and things really clicked for us. I’ll definitely look back on this year as a really special time. But it’s not over yet and we want to finish it off well and with a strong result in my last race of the season in Lombardia."
Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) could be Pogacar’s biggest rival at the race following the withdrawal of Primoz Roglic (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe).
Enric Mas (Movistar) and Matteo Jorgenson (Visma-Lease a Bike) will be hoping to be in the mix.
Adam Yates is also riding for UAE Team Emirates.

What is the route for Il Lombardia?

The 252km route sees riders head from Bergamo to Como.
There are eight categorised climbs and over 4,800m of climbing in total.
The last big climb of the day is up the Sormano, after which there will still be 42km remaining, most of which is flat or downhill.
