Pascal Ackermann sprints to Stage 2 win, Daryl Impey takes overall lead at Dauphine

Pascal Ackermann sprinted to victory of Stage 2 of the Criterium du Dauphine as leader Michel Kwiatkowski crashed with just over a kilometre to go.

Ackermann out-paced Edvald Boassan Hagen and stage one winner Daryl Impey on one of the few sprint days of the Dauphine.
Team Sky’s Kwiatkowski came off his bike with 1.3km to go, but managed to get up and complete the stage. However, the Polish rider lost his overall lead with South African Impey now ahead by two seconds.
