Kelley Law's Canadian rink rebounded from a crushing semifinal loss to Britain to take the Olympic bronze medal in the women's curling on Thursday with a 9-5 win over the United States.
The defending champions, who roared through the round-robin phase winning eight out of their nine games who and were heavily favoured to retain their Nagano crown, scored two in the opening end and never trailed.
Canada took full control of the contest in the fourth end when they scored two and then stole one more in the fifth to surge 5-2 in front.
