England have announced that seamer Reece Topley will return home after being ruled out of the rest of the T20 series against West Indies due to a knee injury.
The left-arm bowler suffered the problem in the first match of the series, and further investigations into the injury have convinced England to send him home.
Topley was fined 15% of his match fee earlier in the week for an incident in the first game of the series.
He was found to have breached the ICC Code of Conduct, when he hit a handrail with a chair after sustaining his injury.
One demerit point was also added to Topley's disciplinary record, which would lead to a ban if he reached four or more points in the next two years.
“Topley was found to have breached Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to ‘abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during an International Match’ and was duly fined 15 percent of his match fee,” the ICC said in a statement.
