Philip Kim, aka Phil Wizard, became the inaugural men’s Olympic Games breaking champion after beating Dany Dann in the B-Boys final.
Canada's Kim and Dann were the standout performers of the 16 competitors, as they set up a final battle at the Place de la Concorde.
Dann, whose name is Danis Civil, raised hope of a home winner in front of a whipped up French crowd, but Phil Wizard was too good as he won all three battles in the final for a 3 (23) 0 (4) victory.
While there appears to be rivalry on the dancefloor, it is for show as the two finalists embraced after the result was confirmed - with Dann celebrating his silver medal with the fans.
The bronze medal went to USA’s Victor - the world champion - who secured a 3 (20) 0 (7) win over Japan’s Shigekix - who was supported by B-Girls winnner Ami.
Speaking to Eurosport’s Lauren Jbara after securing his bronze, Victor Montalvo said: “It feels amazing.

“I loved being on that stage. We came here, we represented hip-hop culture, breaking culture and I am glad everyone enjoyed it.”
Victor hopes that fans will be attracted to breaking after watching the Paris 2024 Olympics.
“I have been telling people, breaking is not like it was in the 1970s," he said. "It has evolved, it is bigger, stronger, faster, it’s more refined.
“I am just happy that the Olympics gave us the opportunity to represent and there are a lot of new faces that are into the sport.”
