By Paul Upham in Surfers Paradise: Australian Sharon "Wild Thing" Anyos 11-3 (2) is the inaugural WBC women's featherweight world champion after defeating Argentine Marcela "La Tigresa" Acuna 19-5 (12) on points over ten rounds on Saturday night at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Queensland. Judges scored the fight for Anyos 97-93, 96-94 and 96-94.
