Tyson Fury insists there is 'no reason' for boxing return - 'You could offer me £1 billion and it wouldn't move the needle'

The potential return of Tyson Fury remains a major talking point in boxing, but the legendary former heavyweight champion has dismissed any possibility of a comeback. Defeat in a rematch against Oleksandr Usyk proved to be the final bout for Fury, who had never lost before facing the Ukrainian. But he has made clear he has no desire to fight again. "I've got no interest," Fury said.

Tyson Fury has claimed not even £1 billion could tempt him out of retirement and back into boxing.
The 37-year-old called time on his illustrious career after a second defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in December 2024.
Despite having previously retired and then returned to the sport, Fury reiterated that he has no intention of putting the gloves back on this time.
"There's no actual reason for me to go back in a boxing ring," Fury said in an interview with YouTube channel FurociTV.
"I am 37 years old, I've been punched for the past 25 years. What do I want to go back to boxing for?
"It used to be for the money and the titles. But now I've got more money than I can spend and unlimited amounts of belts and titles.

"Does it make me happier? No. Was the chase better than the victory? Yes. The climb was better than the mountain peak.
"I could go back to boxing at any given time but I just don't want to. I've got no interest or clamour for that limelight.
"You could offer me £1 billion today and it wouldn't move the needle, it wouldn't turn me on. Because I have gone past that point of caring about what people think."
There is ongoing speculation surrounding a much-anticipated potential fight between Fury and his fellow Briton Anthony Joshua.
Talk of that bout taking place in Saudi Arabia was cut short by Fury's retirement announcement, and the former IBF, WBA and WBO champion has highlighted the importance of ending his career in good health.
"Boxing doesn't take any prisoners, it only takes casualties," Fury said.
"So for me to be sat here with all my faculties, having made loads of money, and I've not got a scratch on me? I have done really well there.
"But I don't want to tempt fate. I don't want to keep going back to the well. How many times can you do it without getting brain damage?"

Fury also reflected on his past opponents, revealing which of them proved the most antagonistic.
"The only person I never got on with and wanted to smash was Deontay Wilder. We had a personal thing.
"The first fight, there was no issue at all - there was nothing. Happy, friendly, let's go and have a fight, best man wins.
"But after the fight he said, 'Oh, he put something in his gloves'. It became a lot of malice between both of us and really wanted to damage each other in that second fight.
"We had the second fight and there was more cheating, more wobbly suits, just stupid really. Stupid, bitter, losers' point of view, and it went on from there. And it's still going on today."
Expanding on his retirement, Fury said: "There's no Gypsy King in this retired life. The Gypsy King's dead. It's not the in thing any more.
"Gypsy King only came to light around the massive events. It was all boxing-based. Now I'm not doing any boxing anymore.
"You get to a certain level and point in your career and it's not really about anything else anymore. You've done anything you want to do, you've achieved everything.
"The last five years of my career I've been two-time world champion, made enough money to retire; anything now is a bonus.
"What's the point? If you give me another £100 million, what am I going to do with it? It's not going to affect my life at all. It won't affect my kids' life. It won't affect their kids' lives."
