Joe Joyce is planning on "ending" Derek Chisora's career when the pair meet in a British heavyweight showdown at the O2 Arena on Saturday.
Both boxers are rebuilding after damaging defeats, with Joyce suffering back-to-back knockouts at the hands of Zhilei Zhang last year and Chisora losing to Tyson Fury in December 2022.
Joyce has since beaten Kash Ali, while Chisora has overcome Gerald Washington.
It is believed the 40-year-old Chisora is coming to the end of his career, and Joyce wants to be the man to deal the final blow.
"He’s going to bring war and bring excitement and unpredictability in the press conferences," Joyce told TNT Sports. "So, you know what you're going to get.
"He's had a great career and I guess I should be ending it. I don't want it to go the distance, I don't think he does either.
“It’s 10 rounds so it's not 12, but I want to make a statement and then take that statement and go on further."

'It's not a boxing fight, it's a show' - Chisora out to entertain in Joyce showdown at O2 Arena

Meanwhile, Chisora was unsurprisingly bullish about his own chances.
"Joe hasn’t got a clue what’s going to happen," he said. "Do you think I'm joking? He hasn’t got a f***ing clue."
Chisora's main focus appeared to be entertaining the home crowd at the O2 Arena.
"The only thing I get nervous about is if I don't perform for the public," he added. "That's my let down for myself. If I don't do it, if I don't perform, I feel like I embarrass myself in front of the public.
"Remember, and this is advice to any young fighters out there, it's not a boxing fight, it’s a show. It’s how you arrive, how you walk in the ring, it’s how everything is set up. Everything has to be correct.
"I make plans of how I'm going to get to the arena, who's coming with me, everything. The first song I play when I get in my dressing room, everything. So everything is a play."
