Frank Warren has backed Artur Beterbiev to dispatch Dmitry Bivol during their “Game of Thrones” fight in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.
Light heavyweight greats Beterbiev and Bivol are set to go toe-to-toe at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, with both fighters’ undisputed honours on the line.
The blockbuster bout was rescheduled from its original June date after Beterbiev suffered a ruptured meniscus in his knee during training.
Ahead of the fight, which will be shown live on TNT Sports Box Office, Queensbury founder Warren said he believed Beterbiev would get the better of his 33-year-old opponent.
“I am favourit[ing] Beterbiev,” Warren told TNT Sports. “But if Eddie [Hearn’s fighter Bivol] wins, then brilliant. That’s great for him.”
The unbeaten pair are widely considered among the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, but offer up very different styles, with Beterbiev known for his power and Bivol thought of as the more rounded fighter.

Indeed, Bivol is unbeaten in 23 professional fights with 12 knockouts, while he has held the WBA title since 2017, providing 11 successful defences.
Meanwhile, the 39-year-old Beterbiev is undefeated in 20 career contests, having won every single one by stoppage, while he has also been a light-heavyweight world champion for the past seven years.

The Canadian first claimed the IBF belt in 2017, before adding the WBC version two years later. Beterbiev then flattened Joe Smith Jr in two rounds in 2022 to add the WBO strap to his collection.
Warren continued: “It’s the Game of Thrones. Four belts on the line. Two undefeated fighters, one with a perfect record – 20 fights, 20 knockouts – and the other a superb boxer.
