Fearon's 4-man team missed out on a medal by only 0.11 seconds in Sochi, coming an agonising fifth in Russia. In the same year, he won a silver medal at the European Championships.
The 29-year-old took the next season off but returned alongside Bruce Tasker for a tilt at the 2-man World Championship in 2016, coming a British record fourth.
A crash prevented him from challenging in the 4-man competition at the same event, and again in 2017.
In between those two World Championships, Fearon returned to the athletics track and ran 9.96 in the 100m at the England Athletics Championships - making him the third fastest British man in history, behind Linford Christie and James Dasaolu.
