Martin also had four blocked shots and four steals as the Nets tied the longest winning streak in the NBA this season. San Antonio and Detroit have also won 13 straight games.
New Jersey coach Lawrence Frank improved to 12-0 since taking over from the fired Byron Scott. Frank tied the North American sports record for most wins by a coach at the start of a career, matching the mark of Joe Morgan of the Boston Red Sox in 1988 and Jim Price of the 1884 baseball New York Giants.
Richard Jefferson added 21 points for the Nets, who won for the seventh straight time at home. Kidd finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and nine assists. He needs one more triple-double to tie him with former Boston Celticsgreat Larry Bird with 59.
The Hornets saw their three-game winning streak end against a tired Nets team that played the night before in Toronto. Jamal Mashburn led the Hornets with 28 points and 13 rebounds. Baron Davis added 17 points.
In Miami, Dwyane Wade scored 28 points to out-duel fellow rookie Carmelo Anthony and give the Miami Heat a 97-81 upset win over the Denver Nuggets in Miami. Lamar Odom had 21 points and 13 rebounds for the Heat, which is on a season-high four-game winning streak. Odom scored 21 of his points in the pivotal third quarter, when Miami out-scored Denver 35-21.
Anthony scored 16 points for Denver, but had his worst shooting game since the third game of the season, going just 3-for-20. He had scored 20 or more points in nine straight games.
Udonis Haslem had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Miami, while Eddie Jones chipped in with 11 points. Andre Miller scored 15 points for the Nuggets, while Voshon Lenard added 14 for Denver, losers of six of their last eight road games.
In Milwaukee, Elton Brand had 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers past the Bucks 105-103. Quentin Richardson added 18 points and 10 rebounds for the Clippers.
Newly acquired Keith VanHorn had 23 points and seven rebounds for Milwaukee, while Desmond Mason added 19 points for the Bucks.
In Dallas, Dirk Nowitzki had 25 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Mavericks to a 97-88 win over the Houston Rockets. Michael Finely added 19 points for Dallas, while Antoine Walker had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Jim Jackson led Houston with 18 points and seven rebounds.

In Oakland, Jason Richardson scored 24 points to inspire the Golden State Warriors to a 94-92 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics.
