The Kings went on a 23-7 run in the fourth quarter while scoring 33 points in the final 12 minutes to beat the Spurs at home for the first time in more than two years.
Brad Miller added 19 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings, who took advantage of the absence of Tim Duncan from the San Antonio lineup.
Duncan, the two-time NBA MVP, has missed eight of the last nine games with a knee injury. He returned to play Wednesday but still feels he is not strong enough to return to regular action.
Chris Webber added 23 points for the Kings, who won for the fourth time in five games while playing a tough, physical defensive game against the defending NBA champions.
Peja Stojakovic chipped in with 18 points for the winners, while Doug Christie made several key defensive plays in the second half.
Manu Ginobili scored 16 points to lead the Spurs, while
Rasho Nesterovic added 14 points and 13 rebounds. San Antonio had won three straight games at Sacramento, including one earlier this season. The Kings have lost just five home games this year.
LeBron James scored 26 points as the Cleveland Cavaliers upset the Indiana Pacers 107-104 in Cleveland, solidifying the Cavs' hold on a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Jalen Rose returned two weeks earlier than expected from a broken hand to score 23 points as the Toronto Raptors beat the Atlanta Hawks 101-84.
In Detroit, the Pistons held their opponents to under 70 points for a fifth straight game, an NBA record, as Detroit downed the Philadelphia 76ers 85-69. Allen Iverson did not play for the 76ers after being told he would not start but would come off the bench.
Zach Randolph had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to their third straight win, 92-83 over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Stephon Marbury scored 21 points and added 16 rebounds as the New York Knicks rallied from a 26-point deficit to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 103-100.
Eddie Jones had 23 points as the Miami Heat beat the New Jersey Nets 104-95, ending the Nets' 15-game winning streak against Eastern Conference opponents.
Dirk Nowitzki had 34 points and 15 rebounds as the Dallas
Mavericks beat the Los Angeles Clippers 101-88. Andre Miller just missed a triple-double with 24 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds as the Denver Nuggets stopped the Utah Jazz 102-75.
