Orlando (5-21) won for the fourth time in six outings after losing 19 games in a row.
Eastern Conference-leading Indiana (19-7) never recovered from a slow start, shooting 29 percent from the field in the first half.
Al Harrington missed a wide-open jumper in the dying seconds that would have given his team the lead but Indiana was beaten for only the third time in 13 home games this season.
Juwan Howard added 19 points and seven rebounds for the Magic while Keith Bogans had 15 points and 12 rebounds.
Jermaine O'Neal totaled 24 points, 17 rebounds and five blocks for the Pacers. Ron Artest recorded 18 points.
Rockets 89 Cavaliers 85
In Cleveland, Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley both had 18 points as the Houston Rockets edged the Cavaliers 89-85.
Maurice Taylor had 14 points and Yao Ming 12 for the Rockets, who trailed by seven in the fourth quarter.
Zydrunas Ilgauskas led Cleveland with 19 points and nine rebounds while LeBron James added 17 points.
76ers 87 Heat 76
In Philadelphia, Aaron McKie counted 20 points to steer the 76ers past the Miami Heat 87-76.
Glenn Robinson picked up 19 points for the Sixers, who were without Allen Iverson due to an injured knee.
Dwyane Wade scored 22 points and Eddie Jones 20 for the Heat, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
Warriors 98 Hawks 85
In Atlanta, Mike Dunleavy notched 25 points and a career-high 14 rebounds to propel the Golden State Warriors to a 98-85 win over the Hawks.
Jason Richardson added 22 points for the Warriors, who won two consecutive road games for the first time this season.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim led the Hawks with 16 points. Jason Terry and Theo Ratliff did not start for Atlanta after being late for the shootaround.
Pistons 77 Bulls 73
In Auburn Hills, Richard Hamilton collected 20 points as the Detroit Pistons overcame the Chicago Bulls 77-73 to snap a four-game losing streak.
Detroit coach Larry Brown won his 1,300th career game, including his college and ABA victories.
Jamal Crawford claimed 22 points for the Bulls.
Nets 87 Jazz 74
In East Rutherford, Kenyon Martin had 22 points and 11 rebounds to steer the New Jersey Nets past the Utah Jazz 87-74.
Jason Kidd added 19 points, eight assists and eight rebounds for the Nets, who improved to .500 (12-12).
Raul Lopez led Utah with 15 points.

In Boston, Paul Pierce totaled 25 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to nudge the Celtics to a 105-103 triumph over the Dallas Mavericks.
Jiri Welsch added 21 points and Walter McCarty 18 for the Celtics, who outscored Dallas 28-18 in the final quarter.
Dirk Nowitzki picked up 30 points and 13 rebounds for Dallas while Danny Fortson had 16 rebounds and 10 points.
Spurs 73 Raptors 70
In San Antonio, 30 points and 13 rebounds from Tim Duncan helped the Spurs edge the Toronto Raptors 73-70 for their eighth straight victory.
Tony Parker added 16 points for the defending NBA champions.
Donyell Marshall recorded 19 points and 14 rebounds for the Raptors but missed a game-tying, three-point attempt at the buzzer. Vince Carter had 16 points.
Nuggets 99 SuperSonics 98
In Seattle, Andre Miller narrowly missed a triple-double with 20 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists as the Denver Nuggets squeezed past the SuperSonics 99-98.
Voshon Lenard had 19 points and Marcus Camby 15 for the Nuggets (16-9).
Ronald Murray and Rashard Lewis both scored 19 points for Seattle (11-12).
Clippers 93 Bucks 83
In Los Angeles, Bobby Simmons contributed 20 points and seven rebounds to guide the Clippers to a 93-83 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.
Elton Brand added 15 points and 15 rebounds for the Clippers while Corey Maggette notched 17 points and eight boards.
