New Jersey also avenged a 105-92 loss to the Kings on November 30 in a game that the Kings led 60-28 at the half. The Nets led by as many as 30 at one stage and got a 19-point effort from Richard Jefferson. Jason Kidd added 13 assists and eight rebounds for New Jersey, along with four points.
Sacramento arrived late for the game due to traffic problems as a result of a mid-March snowstorm in Manhatten and struggled right from the start in losing to an Eastern Conference opponent for just the fourth time in 25 games.
Mike Bibby scored 17 points to lead the Kings, while Chris Webber added 15 points on 5-for-17 shooting. Peja Stojakovic added 11 points for the Kings, all of them coming in the first half.
Inotheraction, Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 24 points and 17 rebounds to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to their seventhstraightvictory, 111-87 over the Chicago Bulls.
Dwyane Wade scored 23 points to lead the Miami Heat to a 96-83 win over the NewOrleans Hornets. Brent Barry scored a season-high 28 points as the Seattle SuperSonics beat the Atlanta Hawks 118-110.
Tim Thomas scored 32 points as the NewYork Knicks edged the Washington Wizards 114-110 in overtime.
Pau Gasol scored 22 points as the Memphis Grizzlies edged the Philadelphia 76ers 82-79. Allen Iverson returned to the 76ers line-up and scored just 10 points, all of them in the first half.
Derek Anderson and Darius Miles both scored 20 points as the Portland Trail Blazers edged the Milwaukee Bucks 100-99.
Quentin Richardson had 32 points and 12 rebounds as the LosAngeles Clippers beat the Phoenix Suns 110-98.
