Charles Barkley did not hold back in his assessment of the Golden State Warriors in their NBA opener against the Phoenix Suns. Speaking on TNT Sports' coverage of the match, Barkley was not impressed by the quality within their squad, and feels they have fallen behind the LA Lakers, LA Clippers and Sacramento Kings. It was not a good night for the Lakers either after they lost to Denver Nuggets.

Charles Barkley made a damning assessment of the Golden State Warriors as they lost 108-104 to Phoenix Suns in their NBA opener - the contest was live on TNT Sports and discovery+.
The Suns were leading by 15 points at half-time, and the former NBA player said just how far they had fallen behind California's other franchises.
He said: "The Lakers, Sacramento and if the Clippers are healthy, and that's a big if, the Warriors are the fourth best team just in California."
The Warriors rallied impressively in the third quarter after outscoring the Suns 40-19, but normal service was resumed when Jusuf Nurkic sealed the Arizona side victory with 10.3 seconds remaining.
Devin Booker was the star performer for the Suns with 32 points, eight assists, six rebounds and a steal, while Kevin Durant achieved a double-double consisting of 18 points and 10 rebounds.
