The Boston Celtics recorded their second 50-point win of the season as they hammered the Brooklyn Nets 136-86 on Wednesday night in the NBA. Elsewhere, the LA Clippers defeated Golden State Warriors 130-125 as Kawhi Leonard was one of three absences for the team. Victor Wembanyama scored 26 points but it was not enough to stop the San Antonio Spurs losing to the Dallas Mavericks.

Highlights: Celtics obliterate Nets by 50 points

The Boston Celtics equalled an NBA record with their 136-86 win over the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday, while LA Clippers’ forward Kawhi Leonard could miss the All-Star game through injury.
For the Celtics, Payton Pritchard scored 28 points as he helped his team to become the third side ever to win more than one game by 50 or more points in a single season, in what was coach Joe Mazzulla’s 100th career win.
Just behind Pritchard was Derrick White with 27, while Jayson Tatum notched 20 points, with a further nine assists and seven rebounds. The teams had also played on Tuesday, as the Celtics edged that 118-110.
Speaking about his team's six-game win streak, Mazzulla said: "You can't operate by feeling, so regardless if we lost tonight and won five out of six or six out of six, you have a tendency to relax, you have a tendency to put it in cruise control.
"So winning is just as dangerous as losing if you don't handle it the right way."
Boston boasts a 43-12 record, the best in the NBA.
"I told the guys, it's something to be proud of, something to be grateful for, and it's just a testament to the people that you have around you," Mazzulla said of his 100th win.
"In a business where individual success is highly talked about on a nightly basis, the box scores and stuff like that, to have a group of people you can share in your success with is important."

Williams takes flight and top spot in NBA Top 10 Plays

Elsewhere, the LA Clippers defeated the Golden State Warriors 130-125, but there are concerns brewing over Leonard’s fitness.
The forward has been an All-Star six times but an adductor problem could potentially see him miss out.
He was fit enough to get through 30 minutes against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday, but sat out last night’s game.
Coach Tyronn Lue was not overly concerned, explaining: "I don't think it's that serious. He played through it last game, was experiencing some soreness in the hip, so when the game got out of reach we didn't bring him back in the fourth quarter to be smart about it."
On a busy Wednesday night, another LA side, the Los Angeles Lakers, also enjoyed a win as Rui Hachimura scored a career-high 36, while Anthony Davis contributed 37 points and 15 rebounds. D’Angelo Russell fell just short of a triple-double with 9-17-11 as they beat the Utah Jazz 138-122.
Deni Avdija’s 43 points was not enough to stop the New Orleans Pelicans winning 133-126, with the latter aided by Zion Williamson’s 36 points.
Luka Doncic scored 27 points, with eight assists and nine rebounds, while team-mate Kyrie Irving scored 34 points as the Dallas Mavericks defeated the San Antonio Spurs 116-93. Victor Wembanyama grabbed 26 points for the Spurs.
Kevin Durant score 25 points for the Phoenix Suns as they beat the Detroit Pistons 116-100.
The Memphis Grizzlies were 121-113 victors against the Houston Rockets, while the Sacramento Kings beat the Denver Nuggets 102-98.
However, another New York side struggled, with Paolo Banchero scoring 36 for the Orlando Magic in an 118-110 triumph over the New York Knicks.
The Charlotte Hornets beat the Atlanta Hawks 112-99, the Miami Heat defeated the Philadelphia 76ers 109-104, The Cleveland Cavaliers won 108-105 against the Chicago Bulls, and the Indiana Pacers were 127-125 winners over the Toronto Raptors.
