Baseball star blown over by a pigeon

You might have thought baseball players were brave individuals, standing on a plate as a rubber bullet is pitched at 90mph in their direction.

However, new footage suggests that might not be true.

Kevin Kiermaier was chilling at first base after notching a single for Tampa Bay Rays when he got a right fright.

Out of nowhere, a pigeon swooped up towards his face.

Instant panic consumed Kiermaier, who had only one option: fall to the floor.

It wasn’t the most heroic act. After all, the pigeon didn’t even touch him…

It capped a miserable day for the Rays, who went down 7-5 to the New York Yankees at the Yankee Stadium.
