Allison Stokke: Pole vaulting as you've never seen it before

Allison Stokke has posted an amazing video which shows off the skill of pole vaulting from a totally new perspective.

The American pole vaulter is in training for a meeting in Mexico City at the moment, and placed a pair of GoPro cameras right at the point where the pole enters the box.

The result is a fascinating look at the sport from a new perspective, showing the run-up and Stokke attempting to soar over the bar.

It's not the first time Stokke has used GoPro cameras to show off her sport in a new light: earlier this year she posted pictures and videos attached to the pole, as well as various training routines:
