Simone Biles says she faces a "big decision" over whether to compete at the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Biles, 28, underlined her status as one of the greatest gymnasts in history with three gold medals and a silver at Paris 2024.
Her achievements saw her named Sportswoman of the Year at the 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards.
But whether she tries to add to her 11 Olympic medals on home soil in three years’ time is still up in the air.
"Right now, I am still focusing on healing physically and mentally because the Olympics takes a toll on your body," she said.
"I haven’t got that much time because I’ve sacrificed so much to hang out with my family, my friends, my husband, and stuff like that.
"So I am really enjoying my time off before I decide if I want to go back to the gym and compete.
"A lot of people think it’s just a one-year commitment, but it truly is the four years leading up to the Olympics.
"It is in LA, it’s back in the States, which is so exciting. But if I am going to compete again, I’m not so sure.

"I will be at the Olympics, but whether it’s on the floor or in the stands, it’s a big decision to make."
Biles returned to gymnastics in 2023 following a hiatus after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, where she suffered from the "twisties".
In Paris, she not only won three gold medals, but was also involved in one of the most iconic images of the Games when she bowed down to Rebeca Andrade after she won the floor final.
Andrade has suffered three ACL tears during her career and Biles has nothing but praise for the Brazilian.
"Rebeca is an amazing, extraordinary athlete. What she has overcome is truly inspiring.
"I always loved competing against her because she really pushes me to be my best every time I compete.
"We are pretty much neck-and-neck out there and I haven’t had someone that close to me in so many years, so it’s been really exciting the past couple of years.
"With her ACL tears, she has had to miss a lot of World Championships. But I just know that if she was there, she would have the exact same medal count as she’s had in the previous years.
"I am excited to be her competitor and her friend."
