Linus Strasser showed "unbelievable" skill to avoid crashing into a rogue course invader during his World Cup slalom run at Sun Valley. Coming down the slopes at high speed, the German had to think quickly to avoid what could have been an awful collision. "What on earth happened there?!" the TNT Sports commentary team shouted. "That is absolutely unacceptable. We don't need that type of stuff."

There was a near-catastrophic incident at Sun Valley on Thursday as Linus Strasser narrowly avoided a course interloper at high speed.
The German was flying down the slopes during his World Cup slalom when an individual cut across his path.
Thankfully, Strasser noticed the upcoming obstacle and was able to swiftly glide past the intruder without any incident before finishing his run in 52.86 seconds.
"What are you doing?" were the screams heard from the TNT Sports commentary box when the person appeared in front of Strasser.
"What on earth happened there? He's doing so well to not let that affect his focus so far, but that was unbelievable.
"Linus Strasser was in the groove, he was in the rhythm. To have [someone] come across you like that is unacceptable."

The commentary team continued to digest what they had just seen in disbelief.
"That is absolutely unacceptable.
"We don't need that type of stuff. It's not like they're travelling that quickly; you can see them coming.
"Strasser [has done] very well, very well, dealing with the fact that somebody skied into [his path]. A bit of a shame, that section after, I don't know whether he was thinking about it.
"It was always going to be could have, should have, would have in that scenario."
