With Lindsey Vonn absent having ended her season early through injury, the 23-year-old Huetter was the quickest woman in the field as she clocked a time of one minute 14.52, a tenth of a second quicker than Swiss home favourite Fabienne Suter.
Huetter's fellow Austrian Tamara Tippler came third, with Tina Weirather and Lara Gut taking the next two places.
Home favourite Gut could have wrapped up the World Cup crown with victory but the Swiss skier will now have to wait until next weekend's World Cup finale in Saint Moritz to attempt to assure her place at the top of the discipline's standings.
American Vonn still leads the super-G standings despite calling a premature end to her campaign due to injury.
A special mention must be made for Italy's Sofia Goggia, who lost a pole on the opening section but still completed the course - and even recorded an eight place finish that was one of her best of the season!
