There was a scary moment during the men's Team Combined at the World Ski Championships in Austria, but Jan Koula was able to keep his composure under immense pressure. The Czech alpine skier lost a ski at a crucial moment of his run, but managed to regain his balance before completing the course on just one leg. The moment of madness left the Eurosport commentary team amazed.

Jan Koula showed off his calmness under pressure to avoid a potential disaster in the men's Team Combined at the World Ski Championships in Austria.
The Czech alpine skier looked certain to crash after losing a ski during a particularly bumpy patch of his run in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.
However, he showed his class to regain his composure before travelling several meters on just one ski.
Koula's calmness under pressure left the Eurosport commentary team in shock, with Ed Drake admitting that it is not something you see every day.
"He releases his outside ski, said Drake.
"We know that it is rough and we know that it is bumpy but we do not tend to see that too often.

"That happens, not so much in downhill, but relatively often when you have no pressure and then a lot of pressure into bumps."
This year's World Ski Championships got underway February 4 and will draw to a close on Sunday.
The Swiss team of Franjo von Allmen and Loic Meillard took first place in the men's Team Combined, with their compatriots Alexis Monney and Tanguy Nef finishing in second.

Eurosport commentator Charlie Guest believes Koula's equipment would have been a huge help during the scary moment.
"Exactly, we can see with that outside ski there, he did actually get it pretty caught up," she added.
"It did end up dragging behind his body.
"So actually it is a great job by the equipment."
