Arsenal keen on two forwards

Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz and Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi are reported targets for Arsenal this January.
Mikel Arteta wants to improve his chances of landing a Premier League and UEFA Champions League double, and may face competition for Kroupi from Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
Arsenal's next match is against Slavia Prague in Czechia on Wednesday in the Champions League, live with TNT Sports on HBO Max.
The Mirror writes: "Mikel Arteta is pushing to make a move in the January transfer window to bolster Arsenal's double glory hunt.
"Gunners boss Arteta has made a top-class forward his No. 1 priority and wants to strengthen the squad as they look to retain their Premier League title and win the Champions League.
"They have Bournemouth forward Junior Kroupi in their sights but The Cherries do not want to sell in January and Arsenal are also likely to face competition from Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich.
"Arsenal also remain interested in Juventus winger Kenan Yildiz but there is a feeling that Arteta wants to strengthen in January in the forward area as he sees it a necessity to compete on two fronts."

Amass hopes to force Man Utd exit

Harry Amass has again changed agents as he looks to "engineer" a way out at Manchester United.
Last season he went out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City, but is with the United squad now and has scarcely featured.
He has now moved from M+C Saatchi Football to Unique Sports Group, hoping to get more playing time elsewhere.
The Sun explains: "Manchester United wantaway Harry Amass has changed agents for the second time this season in an attempt to engineer an exit in the winter transfer window.
"Amass, 19, has joined the Unique Sports Group agency, having only switched to M+C Saatchi Football in September.
"Left-back Amass was previously represented by the widely respected Jason Mac, who facilitated Amass’ loan moves to Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City last season.
"Well-placed sources say Amass is concerned he is stagnating, having secured regular playing time in the Championship last term."

Le Bris safe at Sunderland

Despite being bottom of the Premier League, Sunderland have no plans to sack Regis Le Bris.
The manager took Sunderland into European football with their league performance last season, and that has earned him credit at the Stadium of Light.
While the club have a difficult run of games ahead, they expect to keep Le Bris in place, according to The Athletic.
The website reports: "Regis Le Bris retains the support of the Sunderland hierarchy and is expected to be given time to turn the club’s fortunes around.
"Sunderland regard Le Bris as pivotal to their plans and have not given consideration to removing him from his position despite the club sitting bottom of the Premier League table after nine games, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, who spoke anonymously to protect relationships.
"Sunderland are now bottom of the table ahead of a tricky run that brings league games against Chelsea, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool but there is still faith within the club that fortunes will improve."

Carrick has two games left

The Evening Standard believes that Michael Carrick has just two games to save his job at Old Trafford.
Carrick will not be sacked following the weekend's 2-0 loss against Chelsea, with United preferring to make any change in the international break.
The paper claims: "Michael Carrick’s position as Manchester United head coach is under renewed threat after a 2-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge extended his side’s winless run to nine matches in all competitions.
"United's afternoon unravelled in the second half as Morgan Rogers opened the scoring before Lisandro Martinez was sent off and Cole Palmer converted the resulting penalty. With United sitting just above the Premier League relegation zone, pressure is mounting on Carrick ahead of two potentially decisive fixtures.
"United's hierarchy had previously held crisis talks over the head coach's position after a 3-0 defeat by Bournemouth. Carrick was widely expected to be dismissed following that result, but the club ultimately decided to give him more time to turn things around.
"Chief executive Omar Berrada and director of football Jason Wilcox - both in attendance at Stamford Bridge - were involved in discussions at Carrington, with replacements reportedly considered.
"Aston Villa boss Unai Emery, former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann, fresh from leaving Germany, were among the names linked with the vacancy. Antonio Conte was also mentioned as a possible option.
"Man Utd chiefs have agreed to keep Carrick in post for the next two games, before reassessing the situation during the break."
